- The Inaugural Post -

For my very first post on my shiny new blog, I thought I’d post a little something about myself . Well, 20 little somethings about myself as kind of a ‘getting to know you’. Since this blog will be used to not only showcase my recent photographic endeavors but also my life in between the shutter clicks, I decided to start off with something that is telling of who I am. I’m going to be posting often with new photos and ramblings, so be sure to check back every now and again. Oh and when you stop by, leave me comment so I know you were here!

  1. I absolutely love my job and realize how fortunate I am to be one that loves what I do
  2. My husband and I knew each other and were practically best friends for 7 years before we started dating. What’s amusing is listening to us tell our accounts of why, in those 7 years, we never dated. They’re completely different :)
  3. I’m a big time TV junkie and have just recently come to realize this. Every week night I have one or two (…maybe three) shows I watch religiously. Thank goodness for DVR!
  4. Since becoming a photographer, I pay attention to light, particularly sunlight, and I never did before. A photographer would understand everything about this statement and likely be nodding in agreement; if you’re not a photographer you probably think I’m a bit crazy for saying such a thing!
  5. I love pedicures and manicures and my husband doesn’t understand why. He thinks they’re a waste of money and I think they’re fabulous.
  6. I love my dogs more than one should probably love four legged creatures. They’re always happy to see me, make me laugh on a daily basis, and are wonderful company when I’m home alone. Though silly to some, I really can’t imagine my life as I know it without my pups.
  7. I have an almost uncontrollable desire for sweets…chocolate in particular.
  8. One day, some day, I will be on Wheel of Fortune.
  9. There’s something about being by the water, lake or ocean, that melts my troubles away.
  10. I have a horrible fear of spiders…like scream bloody murder when I see one the size of a dime in my house kind of fear.
  11. I’m glad I’ve started exercising again. Though I curse the treadmill every time I go to get on it, when I’m done I always feel accomplished.
  12. I am a firm believer in the power pf prayer.
  13. I’m one of the only women I know who really dislikes shopping. I just don’t enjoy it. Unless there’s something I need, I avoid the mall like the plague.
  14. Friday the 13th is usually a lucky day for me. Perhaps it’s because every 6 years my birthday happens to land on Friday the 13th.
  15. I have an aunt who passed away 4 and a half years ago and there’s rarely a week that goes by that I’m not reminded of how awesome she was.
  16. One of my most favorite things to do is laugh so hard, I cry.
  17. When I was in middle school, I was stung by a man-of-war while snorkeling in Mexico. To this day, I can’t remember a time in my life when I was in more pain than that.
  18. A good movie in my sweatpants with my husband and my dogs at my side beats a night out on the town any day of the week.
  19. When I’m alone in my car and a good song comes on the radio, I’m suddenly the lead singer of my own sold out concert.
  20. Even though it’s been off the air for 5 years, I’m still addicted to FRIENDS. I loved it when it was on, love watching the DVDs of the seasons, and love that my husband and I are unbeatable at any and all FRIENDS trivia.

And because a post is never quite complete without a picture, here’s a recent photo my sweet husband took of me for my new website!

Shelby Challenger - Hi Lindsay! You don’t know me but your mother and I were roommates in college during our junior and senior year! If you ever looked at her wedding photos, I was the purple part of the rainbow. It took Facebook to find her. It has been fun catching up and learning about her daughters. She shared your good news of starting your own business. I have enjoyed looking at the site, your photos and reading your blog. You have real talent and I wish you the very best in making the new venture wildly successful. Best, Shelby Challenger
