At the end of each year I’ve been professionally shooting, I’ve found it fun and somewhat nostalgic to go back through my year of images and pick out my favorites. It may be an image I just love, a couple I adore, or an image that makes me laugh or smile. This year, being my first year in business, I wanted to use this New Year’s Eve post to share all of my 2009 favorites!
As I mentioned, I selected these images because I may love them, love the couple, or the image just makes me smile. After this year, I wanted images in my 2009 favorites that make me smile. 2009 hasn’t exactly been the easiest year I’ve ever faced. In fact, it ranks up there as one of the worst. Don’t get me wrong, there were so many wonderful blessing in my life this year: I started this business, my precious niece was born in March, my handsome nephew was born in November, my sweet Sammy dog became part of this family, my sister and my best friend both got engaged, I’ve learned I LOVE to bake, I celebrated one great year of marriage to my husband, and I’ve met and shot some aaaamazing couples this year! Despite all that wonderfulness, (yes, wonderfulness is in fact a word…even if I made it up!!) I will always remember 2009 as the year I was sick. It’s a blessing in itself that I can write was sick in the previous sentence instead of is sick, but nevertheless, I just won’t forget this summer and how sick I really was. In years to come as I look back on this post (as I often go back and re-read my posts) I don’t want to think about the sick, but about all the great things that happened this year. So, the images I’ve chosen are images I love, of couples I love, and that make me smile so I can think about all the good 2009 had to offer!

Christy and Asa – These two will always have a special place in my heart as this wedding my very first wedding as LPP!

Tanya and Thomas – I’m pretty sure Tanya should keep Thomas away from me because all I want to do is squeeze his cheeks.
Stacy, Rob, Ava and Owen – I aodre this family and we all know how much I love dogs, so I just had to include this is my favorites list!
Rebecca, Allan, and Toby – so much love in this picture
Jeff, Heather, Jacob, Colton and Emma – so many pieces of this photo make me smile: the light, the location, the railroad, and the family
Rachel and Jack – This photo will forever make me laugh because the gentlemen to our right of the groom (and to his left) has his hand of Jack’s bum which is why they’re all laughing. Classic!
Samantha and Clint once more – can’t get enough of these two!
Erica and Nathan – This picture has a lot of sentimental value for me because this is the moment my older sister got proposed to!
And of course no favorites post would be complete without my three favorite furry critters Sam, Maddux, and Jackson
