For (what has turned out to be) this beautiful Easter Sunday, I decided to make some cupcakes: Easter style. Every Sunday night, my husband and I go to my parent’s house for dinner. It has become somewhat of a tradition for us to go over there, have dinner, and talk about our weeks and the latest happenings. I usually bring dessert as my contribution to dinner and this week, I decided to get festive![]()
I saw this idea on the internet somewhere and decided to give it a try. The idea was to turn your ordinary cupcakes into bunnies and Easter baskets. So, while my husband watched Tiger make a valiant effort at another Masters win, I baked. And iced. And decorated. Seriously, just call me Betty Crocker! Since the cupcakes turned out rather cute (if I do say so myself!!), I wanted to share my masterpieces because, well, I baked. And iced. And decorated.![]()
The one on the left is supposed to be a basket. However, the tasty treat I got to be the handle just wasn’t working with me so I left it out. Ok, so maybe I’m not exactly like Betty because I’m fairly certain she would have found a replacement handle. Me, not so much.
So here you are. My feeble attempt at Easter inspired cupcakes
I hope you and your families are enjoying this lovely Easter Sunday as I much as I have been…a little baking, a little golf, and a whole lot of heart warming rejoicing for today, He is Risen. Happy Easter!!
